True Friend: Someone who cares about how you feel, who wants to be there for you when you need them, goes through everything with you, and wants you to be happy.

Everybody needs someone to cry with, laugh with, walk with, even talk secrets with. But how do you know you can trust that they’re going to be there when you need them? The hard truth is that you can’t trust them. Things are going to change, new people are going to come into your lives, you both want different things, you have different opinions, fights are going to take place. But life goes on. Friends are going to come and go throughout your whole life. Most don’t get along because they’re at different maturity levels. Friends can’t be true because they want to do what makes them happy, not you. Who wants a friend that doesn’t really care what you have to say, or doesn’t care that you really are sad about something. And even though they may say that they do care, and that they’re really sorry for you, well it’s because it’s easy to say and besides it’s polite. But they’re just happy that they’re not going through it. You can find ‘friends’ anywhere, especially if you just want to vent about something. If you’re looking for a life long friend forget it.There is no such thing. But don’t shut everybody out just because it might not last forever, because nothing lasts forever.
